Frequently Asked Questions
What is Noise Blender?

Noise Blender is a lightweight, in-browser mixer for white, pink, brown, and blue noise. It's free, privacy-friendly, and runs locally using the Web Audio API.

Why does brown noise sound smoother here?

We use a leaky-integrator brown generator with DC blocking and long loop lengths, then equal-power crossfades at the loop boundary — avoiding periodic clicks and rhythmic "chatter."

What mixes do you recommend?

For sleep or tinnitus masking: Pink 30–60%, Brown 30–60%, White low, Blue optional for air. Keep Stereo Width moderate to avoid fatigue.

Does it work offline?

Yes — after first load, most browsers cache the app so it runs offline.

Is it free and private?

Yes. No sign-ups to use the app; the email form below is optional if you want updates from PeaceDrone.

What about the microphone permission (Adaptive Mode)?

Your audio input is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Adaptive Mode analyzes sound levels only locally in your browser to adjust noise volume in real-time. When you click Stop, listening immediately stops and any microphone access is released. This is pure local processing—your audio never leaves your device.
